RESOLVED: 2FA and Weblogin Issues

Tuesday 06/27/17 at 10:57 AM

UW Information Technology is continuing to investigate an issue which began early on 6/27, relating to some websites that rely on 2FA (two-factor authentication) and Weblogin. There are two Incidents related to this:
.
Incident INC0577119 - When signing in to web sites that rely on Weblogin and 2FA (e.g. ASTRA), users enrolled in Duo are not prompted for Duo. Instead, they are prompted for an Entrust token number.  If users have access to their old Entrust tokens, they will function as a workaround but these tokens may need to be re-assigned to their account by the UW-IT Service Center (206-221-5000).
.
Incident INC0577350 - When signing in to Workday with 2FA, Entrust users do not get prompted for their Entrust token number. Instead, they are asked to enroll in Duo.
.
UW-IT engineers have contacted Duo technical support and are working to determine a solution for both Incidents. There is currently no information as to when service will be restored.
